Dr. Boyd's Philosophy of Care

Dr. Boyd believes that every child can have a positive relationship with dental care — but it has to be earned, not demanded. That means moving at the child's pace, explaining every step, and never dismissing a child's fear.

His goal is not just to complete a treatment. It is to build the kind of trust that makes children cooperative patients now and confident dental patients for the rest of their lives.

That philosophy is why so many Temple families have stayed with this practice for decades — and why so many parents bring their children back to the same dentist they saw as a child themselves.

A Note to New Parents

“If your child is nervous — or if you are nervous — that is completely normal. We see that every day. Our job is not to judge that anxiety; our job is to work through it together, one small step at a time.

If you have questions about sedation, about what a first visit looks like, or about whether your child's teeth are developing normally — please ask. There is no question too small. We would rather have you call and ask than worry at home.

My team and I look forward to caring for your family.”
